Cable lines mainly use AC drives on the payoff, capstan and take-up, a PLC and HMI to set line speed and length, and inductive proximity sensors for counting and position. RB Automation supplies all of these.

Each motor runs on its own AC drive, and the drives follow a common speed reference from the PLC or a master drive, so the whole line speeds up and slows down together.

Choose the drive by motor power and the tension control the process needs. Share the motor rating, drum size and line speed, and we will recommend a Frecon or Schneider Altivar model.
