Overview of Level Switch

Based on the new frequency sweep technology, Our level switches are suitable for high viscosity fluids as well as for solid or liquid materials.

As they are unaffected by liquid turbulence, sedimentation or air bubbles, nor indeed by foam or suspended particles, they are suitable for even the most difficult applications. In comparison to other measurement methods, such as vibrating forks, conductive, ultrasonic or optical sensors, frequency sweep technology has some important benefits: no vibrating parts, no sensitivity to changes in conductivity, temperature or pressure. The level switches can be programmed on site and are well suited for separating fluids.

This level switch uses frequency sweep technology for point level detection of liquids, high-viscosity fluids, bulk solids and powders. It is unaffected by turbulence, sedimentation, air bubbles, foam or suspended particles, and can distinguish foam from liquid. Typical uses include solid and liquid level detection, foam detection and separating two very similar media.

Frequency sweep technology has no vibrating parts and is not sensitive to changes in conductivity, temperature or pressure. The switch is also not sensitive to adherent or sticky media, has a short immersion length that is easy to clean, and can be programmed on site. It detects media with a dielectric constant above 1.5.

The switch offers point detection with plus or minus 1 mm repeatability and a 0.1 second response time. It operates from -40 to 85°C, is made of SS316 and PEEK, has a compact stainless steel housing sealed up to IP69K, and runs on 12 to 30 V DC. Output is PNP or NPN through an M12 4-pin connector, with a bright blue status LED.
