The RBL01 Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter is designed to measure both levels of liquids as well as the interface level in a constant fashion. The RBL01 Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter continuously measures liquid level and the interface level between two liquids. It is part of the RB Xsense range from RB Automation and is used on petroleum and chemical storage tanks, underground fuel tanks at petrol stations, industrial metering and control, pharmaceutical, biochemical and beverage plants, dam and reservoir water level monitoring and sewage treatment facilities.

The RBL01 measures 0 to 3000 mm with a hard rod and 0 to 25000 mm with a soft rod, with an accuracy of ±0.3 mm and a resolution of 0.1 mm or ±0.02%FS. It also measures temperature from -25 to 70°C with a ±0.5°C error, and handles medium temperatures of -25 to 150°C, with versions for up to 250°C.

The RBL01 runs on 24VDC and gives a 4-20mA DC output in 2-wire or 3-wire form, plus RS485. Supported communication protocols are RS-485, RS-232 and Modbus, so the level signal can go straight to a PLC, DCS or SCADA system. The standard process connection is a G1/2 male thread, and other connections can be made to the customer's requirement.
