A laser distance measurement sensor measures distance, spacing and position without contact, even on challenging surfaces. The sensors on this page measure from 0 to 1 m and up to 13 m, and work reliably on very rough, shiny or dark surfaces with very high ambient light immunity. Resolution is up to 2 µm, and linearity is as high as plus or minus 6 µm, measured on matte white ceramic. Intelligent signal processing improves measurements on critical surfaces.

Signal output options are 4-20 mA, 0-10 V DC or a switching output, with M12 4-pin or M8 4-pin electrical connections and a 10 to 30 V DC power supply. The measuring range can be taught within the maximum range using the teach-in button or a teach-in cable, and the analog output then spans the full taught range.
